Museum/Gallery Site Research

This layout was very clean, simple, and easy to navigate. However I felt that it was very common and a layout that was pre-made.

This site has a lot of information that has to be laid out as clean and simple as possible so the viewer does not get overwhelmed. I feel they were successful in achieving that. Again though, the site layout is not very unique.

This site was nice with the drop-down horizontal menu. Navigation was very easy and the color scheme was simple and minimal and gave a nice feel to what the museum might be about.

The darker color scheme was a nice change from the other sites although the orange and grey was very close to Halloween colors. Navigation was again simple and the horizontal drop-down menu made the site less boring.

This site had nice little surprises. The odd shapes that popped up when I rolled over a link was very unique as well as the red rollover shapes next to each link on the left main menu. The colors were simple and the site was very easy to navigate.

This site looks like more work was put into it. The images interacted with the title and horizontal link bar. The slideshow of images on the first page is also a more advanced-looking touch. However my biggest complaint would be that the links in the drop-down menu did not highlight or change when rolled over which made it difficult to be sure that you were clicking the right link.
